Air compressors have a wide range of applications which apart from workshop usage includes spray painting, cleaning and inflation. Compressors use either an electric or a petrol motor to increase the pressure and reduce the volume of air which can then be used by compressor accessories. Industrial compressors are widely used for assembly, cutting, drilling, sanding and grinding. Each of these tools, widely used by professional and amateur mechanics alike, requires pressure of varying psi. Two of the standard assembly products that utilize compressed air are ratchet wrenches and impact wrenches. Upholsterers, flooring contractors, kitchen fitters and shed and furniture manufacturers use nail and staple guns to tackle work projects.
