Impact Socket Supplies is now an industry leader,  ISS was founded in 1972 by Gerry Cuerden, a businessman with a keen eye for opportunity. Trading in the pneumatic tools sector, he discovered there was an industry shortage of consumable impact sockets.  Gerry Cuerden set up Impact Socket Supplies "The only specialist company at the time in the UK"

In 1977, Impact Socket Supplies made the quantum leap from small company to industry leader when we established a manufacturing resource. When Gerry Cuerden retired in 1990 to be succeeded by current MD Ron Barker, Ron weathered the storm of recession by pioneering sales, marketing and administrative innovations - innovations that make Impact Socket Supplies the exceptionally efficient, competitive and helpful supplier it is today.
