Lifts and Jacks
In the automobile repair industry, lifting jacks are commonly used to hoist a vehicle off the ground. They employ either mechanical or hydraulic force, depending on the jack used. For small tasks like tuning the exhaust system or changing the oil, a trolley jack can provide a simple solution for elevating either end of the vehicle. Trolley jacks are small, convenient and yet powerful with lifting capacities ranging from 2 to 10 tons. While working under a vehicle it is advisable to use jack stands that stabilize the trolley jack. In case of an accidental release, the stands prevent the vehicle from collapsing on the mechanic working below.
